Background
In regions where telehealth is still an emerging concept, building a robust medical software platform takes clarity, creativity and precision. Our client set out to change healthcare with a platform that lets doctors connect with patients and manage care remotely. The challenge was that they needed a partner to shape the vision, refine the brand, design the MVP and position the whole initiative for investor interest.
That is where SLIQ By Design came in.
The challenge
- Redefining the brand: the existing identity needed a fresh, professional look that reflected trust and innovation in healthcare.
- Incorporating multiple user views: midway through design the scope grew to include hospitals and administrators.
- Feature ideation: the goal was clear, telehealth, but the specifics of what makes an effective telehealth platform were undefined.
- Engaging stakeholders: the platform needed a compelling online presence to attract hospitals and investors.
Crafting a modern healthcare brand
- Refreshed the colour palette to a clean, professional mix of medical tones, blue and green, symbolising trust and growth.
- Redesigned the logo to be contemporary and approachable, so it resonates with medical professionals and investors alike.
- Established consistent visuals: typography, iconography and layouts designed for clarity and professionalism across platforms.
Conceptualizing the application
- Feature brainstorming with the client, focused on user journeys for patients, doctors and hospitals.
- An extensive sitemap covering patient scheduling, virtual consultations and remote management.
Developing the MVP
- Wireframing: a detailed blueprint of the interface that let us gather feedback and refine early.
- UI design: wireframes turned into a visually compelling interface that prioritised simplicity and usability for every user type.
- Documentation: every feature, user flow and interface element written up so the developer handoff was seamless.
Adapting to evolving requirements
During the design phase the scope expanded to include a team view, a hospital view and a hospital admin view. Each user type needed tailored functionality and design. Despite the complexity of integrating three new views late in the process, we delivered a cohesive and functional product.
Building the investor-focused website
- A demo booking system so hospitals and investors could schedule a walkthrough of the platform.
- Clear messaging that emphasised the initiative’s transformative potential, balancing technical detail with storytelling.
Results
- Attracted investor interest: the professional presentation positioned the platform as a market-ready solution.
- Established credibility: the refined brand and detailed documentation reassured stakeholders of the platform’s viability.
- Set the stage for full development, with significant investor interest behind it.
